Hamptons International Film Festival, East Hampton

The Hamptons International Film Festival is the premier film event on the East End featuring glamourous displays of innovative cinema. Now in its 32nd year, this 11-day festival, from October 4th through October 11th, has repeatedly been an important part of the film industry’s awards season with many of the presented movies announced at the Academy Awards. An esteemed group of accomplished artists are recognized at this festival. Demi Moore will be presented with the “Career Achievement in Acting” award this year for her role in “The Substance”. The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is a vibrant cultural hub located in the heart of Westhampton Beach on Main Street. Andrea Peponakis

Andrea Peponakis is a retired foreign language teacher who then became a local newspaper journalist and local radio show host. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens and on Long Island, Andrea is now focusing on writing children’s books. The motivation to become an author was inspired by her three grandchildren. Her book, Grandma, Grandma, Tell Me More: My Family Loves Me, was featured at this year’s London Book Festival and at The LA Times Book Fair. Andrea currently resides on Long Island near her children and grandchildren. Her days are spent creating everlasting memories with her grandchildren and writing.
