June 21-23. Midsummer Nights at Old Westbury Gardens

Illuminated with lanterns and decorated with wreaths and floral arrangements, Old Westbury Gardens is hosting Midsummer Nights on Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 23 from 6:30 to 10:30 where guests of all ages are welcome to picnic, stroll, and join in the celebrations of these magical evenings.  Get the details. 

June 28-30. The Gold Coast Book Fair

Honoring the rich literary heritage of Long Island authors, The Gold Coast Book Fair is presenting its first three-day book fair where more than 50 authors will appear. The campus of Long Island University, on June 28 and June 29, and downtown Oyster Bay, on June 30, will be the scenes for panels, workshops, book signings, and programs for adults and children. July 11-14. Hamptons Fine Art Fair

 Situated on the Southampton Fairgrounds, the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, now celebrating its 18th year, is a juried, well-curated, world-class event featuring 150 galleries from 20 countries.  Guild Hall Candlelight Concerts

Andrea Peponakis

Andrea Peponakis is a retired foreign language teacher who then became a local newspaper journalist and local radio show host. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens and on Long Island, Andrea is now focusing on writing children’s books. The motivation to become an author was inspired by her three grandchildren. Her book, Grandma, Grandma, Tell Me More: My Family Loves Me, was featured at this year’s London Book Festival and at The LA Times Book Fair. Andrea currently resides on Long Island near her children and grandchildren. Her days are spent creating everlasting memories with her grandchildren and writing.
