Kate Hudson is Awesome in Running Point

Kate Hudson definitely inherited her mother’s charm and comedic chops. We love her in this new Netflix Comedy, “Running Point,” that blends basketball drama with workplace humor. When her older brother, (played by Justin Theroux), the CEO of the LA Waves basketball team, a family business, ends up in rehab, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson), overlooked her whole life, is appointed President of the team. She aims to prove she was the right choice despite skepticism from her two other brothers and the team.

Hudson shines as Isla Gordon, a former party girl turned president of a professional basketball team, navigating challenges in a male-dominated industry. Produced by Mindy Kaling, the show features a strong ensemble cast and witty dialogue. If you love charming lighthearted comedies, this one’s for you.

Show Meghan Some Love

As Taylor Swift says, they “haters gonna hate,” which is so true of anything Meghan Markle, or Meghan Sussex as she prefers to be called now, and especially her lifestyle show on Netflix, “With Love from Meghan.” Now, keep in mind, I am not a fan of this genre that has made millions for Martha Stewart. I watched the show out of curiosity….Meghan in a beautiful kitchen (not hers) in the picture perfect Montecito, looking beautiful in her carefully curated casual clothes, making candles and meals with friends and sharing gardening tips. Meghan is no Martha, but she’s isn’t really trying to be. And while I won’t be creating bath salts for my guests, or making candles anytime soon, I found the show entertaining, and she is very charming and sweet. The show is beautifully filmed and has great music too. Give it a whirl.

The White Lotus Returns with Season 3

I loved the first two seasons watching the rich and spoiled in beautiful locales and waited for season 3 with great anticipation. I have to say the first episode was a bit of a disappointment, but now that I’ve watched the first three episodes, I am hooked, so stick with it.  My favorite character is Chelsea, played by Aimee Lou Wood, who steals every scene she’s in.

Season 3 of The White Lotus takes place at a wellness resort in Thailand, following the lives of wealthy guests and the resort staff. The season begins with a mysterious death and explores themes of privilege, family dynamics, and personal transformation. And there are two returning characters from Season 1. Featuring a star-studded cast, including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, and Natasha Rothwell, the show continues its satirical take on luxury and societal issues. Watch it on HBO Max.
