Three Secrets to Manifestation That Nobody Has Told You
I began studying manifestation many years before I dreamed of being a transformational coach. In fact, it was when I began to truly understand how manifestation works that my real coaching journey began.
The first important thing I learned about manifestation is that we all have the power to manifest what we would love. If we obey the invisible laws that govern the Universe, anything is possible. Manifestation takes effort, but it can also be easy. We cannot manifest by sitting on our couch and visualizing. Visualization is an important part to manifesting our dream, but it’s not the whole story.
I have manifested many wonderful things into my life. Two things come to mind that at different times were important for me to manifest. One was a life partner. I wanted to be married; to have someone I could share my life with at a deep level. When I was single, I lived in a small town and the selection of single men didn’t seem great. I kept telling myself that I just needed one good man. I worked with the invisible laws, and I am now married to the love of my life.
One law that we learn early in life is the law of gravity. We work with this law every day. We never expect gravity to work any differently than it always has. If we want to go to the ground floor from a third story, we don’t think, I’ll jump out the window to get there faster. We know how gravity works, we respect it, and we take the stairs or an elevator every single time.
The Universe works with the same precision as gravity. Once we learn the invisible laws, we can create the results we want.
Have you ever known something was going to work out the way you wanted… when you just knew you would achieve your desired outcome? Because of your confidence, you kept moving forward toward your goal. You didn’t let anything stop you. At that time, you may have been working with the laws as an “unconscious competent.” This is when we aren’t consciously or intentionally doing things in a certain way. We are following the invisible laws, but we aren’t aware that we are. When we become a “conscious competent” and are working with the laws intentionally, we can achieve our goals more consistently and with greater ease.
Here are three secrets that can help you to become a “conscious competent” to create a life you love.
The first secret is that we are manifesting ALL the time. These laws are not just at work when we put our attention on what we want.
In The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles writes, “There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates and fills the interspaces of the universe. A thought in this substance, produces the thing that is imaged by the thought. Man can form things in his thoughts, and by impressing his thought upon the formless substance, he can cause the thing he thinks about to be created. “
When we think we are impressing into this substance—whether it’s what we want or not—this “thinking stuff” responds to your thoughts and your feelings; not to whether it’s in your best interest or not. It doesn’t discern that for you. We are creating at the level of thought or imagination right away, even though it still needs to come into form.
The thoughts we think over and over with emotion will have a greater impact in the invisible substance. Is there something you worry about with amplified feeling? Is this what you want to be creating? Start to notice what your thoughts are and if they are in alignment with what you want to be creating and experiencing.
The second secret to manifesting what we want is: It must be our soul’s deepest longing and desire. It can be scary when we allow ourselves to know our heart’s desire, because it will require us to think differently and take different actions. If it’s something that is a passing wish or we are lukewarm about it, we won’t have enough soul force or desire to do what it will take to create this result.
Notice when your soul and life itself are sending you signals—these will show up as your longing and discontent. Longing is the desire to create something new. Our discontent may be with a current situation we’re not happy with that we want to change or get rid of all together.
We can’t stop ourselves from wanting more—these thoughts and feelings are simply life seeking expression. If we don’t listen, they will get louder. Unlived life will show up somewhere—it may show up as unhappiness, a health symptom, discord in our relationships, depression or perhaps even as accidents.
Ask yourself, what would I love? What would I truly love? And see what comes to mind.
The third secret is that action is required. Manifesting what we would love requires our participation. The key here is that we need to take action as the man or woman who feels as though we already have the life we want. This can be rigorous when we look at the landscape of our lives and it doesn’t look like what we want to manifest.
When we are being the person who is living the life we would love, we will have a different vibration—we will have different ideas and we will attract different opportunities. When we take action on those ideas, we will create different results.
There is something that is in all of us that will want to stop us from moving forward. But that topic… is for another article.
