Time to SHARE
As we begin to wrap up summer and look toward a busy September, I want to make sure you add a wonderful event to your calendar. SHARE, a cancer support group for women dealing with breast and ovarian cancer, is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary during their annual A Second Helping of Life culinary extravaganza.
Featuring top female chefs from the New York area, this event provides gourmet tastings from amazing restaurants, wine and signature drinks from numerous producers, a great silent auction, astounding Hudson River views, and celebrities who are paired with the chefs.
The event will take place Monday, September 19, 6 PM at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers. Chef Angie Mar, Executive Chef of Beatrice Inn and Chopped Grill Masters Grand Champion in 2015, will serve as the event’s Executive Chef. All proceeds will benefit SHARE.
Participating chefs will include Food Network favorite Alex Guarnaschelli (Butter), Anita Lo (Annisa), Rebecca Charles (Pearl Oyster Bar), Sarabeth Levine (Sarabeth’s), Amanda Cohen (Dirt Candy), Patti Jackson (Delaware and Hudson), Roxanne Spruance (Kingsley’s), and many more.
Celebrities from the worlds of media, theatre, film, and publishing will be working with the super star chefs to create and distribute each chef’s signature dish.
PIX 11 Evening News Anchor Tamsen Fadal, a strong advocate for breast cancer awareness, will serve as host.
