Tomatoes Got Talent Takes Its Final Bow
After a decade of producing Tomatoes Got Talent, co-produced by The Three Tomatoes and Randie Levine-Miller, we took our final bow on October 14 at the Triad in NYC. Randie hosted and performed alongside past winners, celebrating women over 40 who aren’t professional entertainers. It was a fantastic night of entertainment!
Roni Jenkins, our long-time auditions’ judge, announced the surprise ending. ALL of our performers, past Tomatoes Got Talent winners, WON! They are magnificently talented and there was no way to pick just one!
Over the years we have 96 talented women perform in our show. Many have gone on to do their own cabaret shows and some of won or been nominated for prestigious awards, like the MAC.
We are grateful to all the women who auditioned in the hopes of becoming one of the 12 finalists each year. The audition fees over the years went to the National MS Society to support Multiple Sclerosis research.
Tomatoes Got Talent truly embodies The Three Tomatoes’ mantra:
WE ARE NEVER TOO OLD AND IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO LIVE OUR DREAMS.
Big thanks to everyone who auditioned and performed over the years, and to our musical director Paul Chamlin, stage managers Laura Fieber and Faye Menken Scheidner, and our celebrity judges who have included Beth Fowler, Margaret Colin, Alyce Finell, Valerie Smaldone, and Pat Addiss. Special thanks to the Triad, Peter Martin, and Gene Castle.

The tomato behind The Three Tomatoes.
Cheryl Benton, aka the “head tomato” is founder and publisher of The Three Tomatoes, a digital lifestyle magazine for “women who aren’t kids”. Having lived and worked for many years in New York City, the land of size zero twenty-somethings, she was truly starting to feel like an invisible woman. She created The Three Tomatoes just for the fun of it as the antidote for invisibility and sent it to 60 friends. Today she has thousands of friends and is chief cheerleader for smart, savvy women who want to live their lives fully at every age and every stage. She is the author of the novel, "Can You See Us Now?" and co-author of a humorous books of quips, "Martini Wisdom." Because she's lived a long time, her full bio won't fit here.
