If you’ve ever headed down an alleyway in Chinatown in NYC in search of a counterfeit Gucci, Fendi, Hermes, Louis Vuitton or some other designer bag, or gone to a fake purse house party, it probably seemed harmless enough. But a recent episode on the Katie Couric Show on this topic had us thinking again. Those bags are often being made by child laborers, and the money can likely end up in the hands of criminals supporting drugs, sex trafficking, and even terrorism.
